To mark the 10th edition of its 21 days of Y’ello Care staff volunteer programme, telecommunication giant; MTN Ghana has reconstructed the Street Academy School at Mensah Guinea Beach in Accra.
The school’s wooden structure was pulled down and replaced with a concrete building to provide a conducive teaching and learning environment for pupils of the Street Academy School.

The Street Academy has received donations worth $500 from a benevolent artist from The United States Of America. Farin “Mema” Greer, a painter and an artist, together with OB Addy, a reggae Musician, visited the Academy premises , March 27, 2015, and presented art-related items to the children of the School. The Street Academy appealed to the public to support the academy to rejuvenate juvenile boxing in Ghana. In response to the appeal, the Delta Airline crew led by Mr. Rick Manjarrez, who has his last flight to Africa, donated boxing equipment worth 700USD to the Street Academy. Mr. Rick hopes to see the children excel in their education while they better their chances in their favorite sport, boxing.

Hurray!!! Its another pending trip for the kids this year and its going to awesome.

The Academy is calling out to parents of the street academy children to make it a point to be in the school premises today.
Know how your wards are faring. Its important for national development. The teachers and activity coaches are doing their best to bring out the best in these children. That is just a quota. Your part to play is now . Show your kids you are there for them.
So all parents make it a point to be there today at 10am sharp!!

The first term of the academic year begins from the 10th of september 2013.The children will be back from recess on the 9th of september for clean up exercise in the school. lessons and other activities are scheduled to start on the 10th of sept.

This year  health walk has been organized . children ,staff,volunteers ,some government officials and some friends of the Street Academy walked through the streets of accra to help create awareness about deprived children in our society. .
